Inserts

The radioactive material may be carried in the Safkeg-LS in product containers such as aluminium capsules, glass bottles and quartz vials that suit user requirements. These product containers have to be carried within ‘inserts’ as shown in the illustrations which provide additional shielding, convenient handling (they can be lifted from the CV by a magnetic tool) and prevent contamination of the CV.
