The Safkeg-LS package is a general purpose container for:

• Research samples
• Bulk isotopes
• Medical products
• Samples
• Contents previously carried by 6M within
  the cavity size offered

Details of the activities for radionuclides that can be carried in the Safkeg-LS can be found in the NRC certificate. The initial certificate is for solid contents in Open Form or Special Form and there are two listed gases. The package is also designed for liquids and it is planned to add several radionuclides in liquid form at the first revision of the certificate. Fissile materials may be carried within the limits specified in the NRC certificate. The heat output limit for the contents is 10W.
